College is a different challenge than the other 13+ years of schooling you've experienced. Rely on my experience mentoring college students and early-career professionals along with my interdisciplinary strengths to make this chapter easier for you.
For students in colleges and universities, I offer several types of virtual academic support*:
Homework help and learning reinforcement for any or all of these subjects
English Literature
I will help you through the assignments, reading demands, and core concepts of your 100- and 200-level Literature classes.
Special Education
As someone who has spent years as a service provider, teacher, and case manager for special education, I can help you understand the real-world perspective along with the theoretical, legal, and technical side of your undergraduate SpEd coursework.
Deaf Education
If you are enrolled in a bachelors or masters degree program for Deaf Education, I can help you understand the projects, research, key topics, and best practices you will need to know to be successful in your classes.
ASL Studies and Interpreting
As a lifelong signer, a CODA, and a former ASL interpreter, I'm happy to share my knowledge and experience with you. Also, as someone who has been through the coursework, I can guide you through those especially challenging linguistic concepts and stressful graded presentations.
Support with writing projects
I count it among my favorite experiences to offer consultations and feedback on college writing projects and essays. I would love to help you take your paper to the next level before your professor ever sees it.
Study plans and test-taking strategies
We can always meet for one or more sessions and create a study plan for an especially rigorous course. Or, if you have a major exam coming up
